Vanity phone numbers make it easy for consumers to remember how to get in contact with your business. According to the Federal Communications Commission, vanity numbers are toll-free numbers "that also spell a person's or company's name or spell a word or acronym that is chosen by the subscriber, such as 1-800-FLOWERS or 1-888-NEW-CARS." (See Reference 1.) Your business can also get a local number that does the same thing. Finding out whether a business is using that number presently and getting that number for your own business is a matter of research and timing.
